About us

The Technology Leadership Forum 👋 The place where Tech Leaders come to get their: 💡Leadership training 📝Career insights 📈Future predictions 🤝Increase their professional network. If 2023 taught us one thing, the mass adoption of AI 🤖played a pivotal role in changing the tech landscape forever and few knew how to act quickly enough. At the TLF we invite: 👉C-Suite executives 👉Industry thought leaders 👉Entrepreneurs..... to share their stories, practical experiences, and predictions to equip our community members with the confidence, knowledge 🧠and network to stay ahead of the curve 🌊 We know being a technology leader can be lonely! It can be difficult to understand what the trends are, what the challenges are, how to address them, and what leadership skills are needed to embrace change 👐. We believe in learning through experiences rather than theory and we feel responsible for making the change we want to see 🌍 How we do this is unique as it’s an invite-only meetup. When attending our events members have a video call to ensure a unique set of skills, experience, and perspectives contribute to our discussions. It’s a cross-functional tech leadership event, designed for professionals with a strategic influence across the software delivery cycle to network, collaborate, and share their experiences. Its format principally uses an unconference facilitation style combined with an interactive presentation delivered by our hand-picked C-Suite executives and industry thought leaders. Unlike many meetups, we give you access to all our digital E-books 📖 that share our industry insights, trends, and predictions. Our next meetup is March 13th 📅, hosted by our friends at Just Eat Takeaway🍔 Event details will be released shortly We have exciting plans for 2024, so stay tuned for updates. • Why does the Technology Leadership Forum exist? Speaking to tech leaders day in day out from all different backgrounds and career paths, there is one common theme uniting them all. Leadership is a lonely place. There is a lot of pressure that comes with senior leadership. All too often, those in positions of strategic influence are heavily relied upon for their input, guidance and support. But who supports them? 🤷♂️ Harvard Business School published an article in 2023 on "How to Address Loneliness in Leadership" citing creating new, meaningful social networks as a key 'antidote'. Psychologists have proven that cultivating a network of allies that can provide mutual support massively enhances performance. The TLF exists to facilitate exactly that, with the sole missions of 'making leadership less lonely'. Host the Technology Leadership Forum 🤝 Recruits for Software Engineering & Delivery Leadership 🔎 Aspiring Podcast Host 🎙️ Founder of Wedo 📈 Building Product, Data, Quality and Engineering teams 👥

4 years ago, I started to run invite-only online and in-person round-table networking events which subsequently led my path to become a regular TLF attendee, speaker, and sponsor. 4 years later, WeDo now hosts and manages the Technology Leadership Forum and we’ve just completed our first event of the year in partnership with our friends at Just Eat !✅🎉 It was great to be back in the Just Eat office for 2 reasons: 1️⃣I spent 4 years building the engineering teams for Just Eat and it was great to see how far they’ve come with their AI journey. 2️⃣It reconfirmed that our business strategy is going in the right direction and we have so much more to achieve this year.... Here’s what went down Wednesday night 👇 💥96 Technology Leaders attended our event. The first event I’ve gone to where 100% of the Pizza was eaten… 🐷 🤖Just Eat delivered a talk on their AI journey, and how they architected their systems and structured their teams to deliver something into production. A big thank you to James Osborn and Natalie Bains for preparing this for our guests. 👏Our key speakers: 🥑 Ben Gamble 🥑Hema NairSarah TolfreyMark Winteringham and Lexy Kassan delivered engaging discussions based unconference format covering big topics like AI-assisted testing, how to measure ROI for AI, Data Governance, Building Data Teams and AI Ethics and Security 👏 🧑🤝🧑Plenty of time for networking as we know this is where the true connections are made. To everyone who came, on behalf of the entire WeDo  team, we hope you had a fantastic evening, made new connections and gained value. If you're interested in being part of the Technology Leadership Forum, please follow us on LinkedIn and drop me a message. If you attended, could you help us improve by providing feedback here
